This weekend is the first 80/35 music festival held in Des Moines. It’s a two day festival with a bunch of musicians; I’m most excited for Andrew Bird, Jakob Dylan and the Flaming Lips. Should be a pretty good event for the 4th of July weekend. Very excited.

A girl I went to high school with died in a plane crash last night. She was 19. We didn’t really hang out in school but we had a few classes together and would talk. A friend told me about it at work and I just kept imagining in my head how horrible it would be to die that way, so sudden but still time to understand what was about to happen to you. Today was not a good day.

As if you didn't waste enough time watching b-list comedians and actors talk on vh1: Maybe I’m late to the game on this, but you can watch every episode of many a VH1 show, like Hogan Knows Best or the I Love the… series on the VH1 website. Now when I want to watch I Love the 90’s I don’t have to wait for it. Yayz.
